Sachchit joined the Cao Lab as a Green Fellow! Sachchit is currently on track to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Dallas. He plans to pursue higher education in medicine, with a particular interest in internal medicine and infectious diseases. In his free time, Sachchit enjoys playing the acoustic guitar, especially fingerstyle music.

Ping joined the Cao Lab as a postdoc! Ping recently earned his Ph.D. in biology from Tsinghua University, China. His Ph.D. thesis focused on performing high throughput sequencing to study the transcriptome architecture and function in bacteria and unveil their potential evolutionary roles. In his free time, Ping enjoys basketball, video games (League of Legends & Hearthstone), and has a deep love for Pokémon—Snorlax being his favorite.

Cassie joined the Cao Lab as a research assistant! Cassie completed her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Afterwards she moved to Buffalo, NY for about six years and was a research technician at the University at Buffalo. In her free time, Cassie loves to play with her family's new corgi puppy, Riley, who is always highly energetic, funny, and very cute.
